Beware of heat stroke

Dogs and cats only regulate their temperature through their mouths, by panting or sweating through their pads.
These are their only two exchange surfaces for perspiring and evacuating heat!
The larger your pet is, the more difficult it will be to lower its body temperature...
If your pet is panting excessively, drooling profusely, and showing unusual fatigue, it is likely overheated and unable to regulate its temperature.
In case of extreme heat, help them cool down regularly by moistening them with a damp cloth, a sponge or a jet of water.

You can spread a soaked towel on their back and wet their head and paws, this will be very effective!
To speed up heat dissipation, you can also apply alcohol to the pads.
Keep them in the shade, indoors, and drastically limit physical activity!
Above all, make sure they have fresh water available! You can keep water in the fridge to fill their bowl.
Do not leave your pet in a parked car and be careful of asphalt in direct sunlight which can become very hot and burn its pads.
Prefer walks early in the morning or late in the evening, in the shade and on the grass.
